What if my child cries or is afraid?
This is completely normal and expected! Our entire approach is built on trust and patience. We move at your child's pace, using proven, gentle techniques to turn fear into confidence and comfort in the water.
How long until my child can self-rescue?
Every child's journey to self-rescue is unique. Our 6-week program is a highly effective framework for mastering the Swim-Float-Swim technique, and while many children achieve this within the course, our focus is always on skill mastery, not the clock. It is completely normal for some to need a little more time, and that's perfectly okay. Our Maintenance Classes are designed for continued practice to ensure every child becomes fully confident and capable in the water.
Why is daily attendance required for the first program?
Consistency is the key to building muscle memory in young swimmers. The daily repetition in the initial weeks is what makes the skills become second-nature and truly reliable in an emergency. It leads to faster, more effective, and lasting results.
What do we need for the first lesson?
It's simple! All you need is a snug-fitting reusable swim diaper (no disposables, please!), a towel, and a positive attitude. We'll handle the rest and guide you through everything during our info call.
Why are the lessons only 10 minutes long?
Young children have naturally short attention spans. A 10-minute, one-on-one lesson is strategically designed to maximize focus, ensuring your child is engaged and learning for the entire session. This format also minimizes the amount of water they ingest, which keeps them comfortable and prevents belly aches. Through years of experience, we've found that 10 minutes is the "sweet spot" for effective, safe, and positive learning.
